Online and in studio Iyengar yoga classes

About

I’m Lindsay and I teach Iyengar Yoga classes online and in Wilmslow, Cheshire.

My first yoga class over 20 years ago had me instantly hooked. I liked the discipline and the practice of physical postures (asanas) which work on all muscles in the body, developing strength and flexibility.

Iyengar yoga can really make you understand your own body no matter what weaknesses or difficulties you may come across. It's a style of yoga that can be practised throughout every stage of life and by anyone.

As you learn, yoga increases concentration and body awareness, bringing a sense of balance to both mind and body. I still remember walking out of that first class feeling taller, and with a sense of contentment.

You can join any of these classes at any time by booking a place and sending me a message on my Contact page.

Everyone is welcome, men & women, all abilities, and ages even if you have never done yoga before. You don’t have to be flexible to start!

Always let the teacher know about any medical conditions, injuries, recent surgery or if you are pregnant before the class starts.

It is best not to eat too much just before a class or drink anything during the class.

Wear comfortable clothing such as leggings, shorts and a t-shirt. We practise with bare feet, but have socks & something warm to put on for the relaxation at the end.

Some equipment is on hand for your first class – You will need to bring a yoga mat .
