I’m Lindsay and I teach Yoga online, and in
My first yoga class 20 years ago had me instantly hooked. I liked the discipline and the practice of physical postures (asanas) which tone muscles and develop stamina and flexibility. But I was also aware of just feeling contented and relaxed after class. As you learn, yoga increases concentration and body awareness, bringing a sense of balance to both mind and body.
I started training as a teacher with the Iyengar Yoga Association (UK) and qualified in 2009. It currently takes a total of 3 years to gain Introductory Teaching status (as well as 3 years of regular class attendance prior to being accepted on the course), but teachers can continue training throughout their lives with further assessments and qualifications. In 2013, I became an Intermediate Junior L1 teacher to deepen my understanding & practice.
I attend regular classes myself as well as workshops and courses with international teachers to continue my training. I’m lucky to have been taught by some of the Iyengar family and their most senior teachers, many of whom have studied for many years directly with B.K.S Iyengar in India.

My Wilmslow classes on Tuesday evenings and Wednesday mornings are for all abilities. Classes are progressive, and sequenced to have a different focus each week within every block.

I also teach small groups privately each week, this can be done either at your home or workplace. Currently these are on Zoom.
Contact me if you’re interested in private yoga classes.
