I have been passionate about yoga and wellbeing for over twenty years. After many years of training (and the learning never stops), I truly enjoy sharing this method of yoga and seeing the benefits it brings people. I teach small group classes and One to Ones in my purpose bulit home studio in Wilmslow, Cheshire.

From the first class I attended in 2000, I liked the discipline of this methodical method of yoga. Iyengar Yoga is known for its precision and alignment of the postures, and the use of props to allow people of all abilities to practice. Iyengar teachers have extensive training, and knowledge of anatomy, and can provide support to beginners, and those with injuries.

I started teacher training with the Iyengar Yoga Association UK in 2007 and qualified in 2009. Then in 2013, I gained a Junior Intermediate Level Certificate to deepen my own practice, and further my understanding of the subtlties of Iyengar Yoga.

"Before teaching the basics, one must be at an advanced level of learning"

Certified Iyengar Yoga Teachers continue their professional development over their teaching career.

I attend regular classes, and workshops with a variety of experienced teachers to maintain my own practice, and continue learning about this broad subject. I’m lucky to have been taught by some of the Iyengar family and their most senior teachers, many of whom have studied directly with B.K.S Iyengar in Pune, India.

Wherever you travel in the world, Iyengar teachers are trained by the same system and high level of teaching so you will always be in safe hands.

The certification mark can only be held by genuine Iyengar Yoga teachers. It is a sign of excellence, clarity and a depth of understanding.
