I’m Lindsay and I teach Yoga in
Chorlton & Wilmslow, and surrounding areas.

My first yoga class almost 20 years ago had me instantly hooked. I liked the discipline and the practice of physical postures (asanas) which tone muscles and develop stamina and flexibility. But I was also aware of just feeling contented and relaxed after class. As you learn, yoga increases concentration and body awareness, bringing a sense of balance to both mind and body.

In 2007 I started training as a teacher with the Iyengar Yoga Association (UK) and qualified in 2009.  It currently takes a total of 6 years to gain Introductory Teaching status (including 3 years of regular attendance with a teacher prior to being accepted on the course), but teachers can continue training throughout their lives with further assessments and qualifications. I am currently certified as an Intermediate Junior L1 teacher.

I attend weekly classes with senior teachers as well as regular workshops and courses around the UK with international teachers to continue developing as a student & teacher. I’m lucky to have been taught by really inspirational people, many of whom have studied for many years directly with B.K.S Iyengar in India.

Yoga classes Chorlton & Wilmslow

Monday mornings in Chorlton Central Church Hall, right in the centre of Chorlton – it's a perfect way to start the week.

My Wilmslow class on Tuesday evenings is suitable for complete beginners as well as those wanting to get back into a regular practice.

Private classes

I also teach small groups privately each week, this can be done either at your home or workplace.
Contact me if you’re interested in private yoga classes with your partner/friends.

The certification mark can only be held by genuine Iyengar Yoga teachers. It is a sign of excellence, clarity and a depth of understanding.
